What an amazing bout of weather we've been having recently (yes you can tell I'm British and love to talk about the weather!). I have been out in the garden (a new interest of mine) and last weekend saw me back out rowing again as I went for a single scull on a beautiful Sunday morning.It seems all of you have been busy too, as the clinic has been particularly busy over the last two weeks. Chiropractors definitely see seasonal patterns. Gardening, spring DIY and the uptake of sports and fitness at this time of year always leads to the clinic getting busy at this time of year! Sports and activities impact our bodies immensely, especially when we return after a break. So it's no wonder our golfing patients are all calling now the greens are up and running, and all our triathletes and marathon runners are suffering from various muscle aches now their training is hotting up.
We all have different pain patterns. The key is to understanding our own body and knowing how to best keep our body in perfect harmony. It is not unusual for an irregular patient (as in 'infrequent', not 'weird') to need treatment at the same time each year... spooky, no? As much as we love the large mass of our patients who come in for regular treatment, every clinic also has the few patients that prefer to come in once or twice a year when they are critical!!! We still value all our patients and our door is always welcome to them, but we sometimes wonder when they will become more body conscious and start to book in before they reach critical point!
So if you haven't had a recent check up, get in before pain forces you to!!!
