Franco Secchi BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy
Franco originally trained in the Italian Army (Italian Parachuting Troupe) in 1996, and then continued his academic education in London, where he then qualified as a Sports Therapist. Franco has been working with the Chiltern Cheetah's American Football Club (AFC) and has also been involved with amateur and professional Rugby clubs.
He has also been involved as a Sports Therapist with the world wide famous "Pussycat Dolls", during their second World Tour in 2009.
Franco is a firm believer in the powerful therapeutic effects of Sports Massage, not only for the individuals who engage in regular exercise, but also for the general public.
His unique style of "hands-on" therapy blends traditional Sports Massage with more advanced Soft Tissue Manipulation techniques, followed by eastern-influenced stretching exercises (for the most adventurous patients!). This treatment is particularly effective for locating and releasing tightness and hyper contraction in the tissues, correct postural faults, improve general muscle flexibility and assist venous and lymphatic flow.
His Sports Therapy session also includes a full-body assessment to pinpoint areas of weakness and imbalance.
In addition, the therapist will carry out a thorough flexibility (stretching) training and various back stability/strength exercises.
Testimonials
I've had regular chiropractic treatment for years in New Zealand and was both overjoyed and scared when I found out I was expecting twins last year. The prospect of carrying so much weight and its effect on my body meant I was nervous, however the expertise of the chiropractors at the Hampstead Chiropractic clinic was second to none. They used special pregnancy techniques as well as gentle versions of the normal chiropractic work I usually have. Its evident they are experienced a lot of pregnant women and babies at the clinic and so I knew I was in brilliant hands. The pregnancy and delivery all went well and now I have two healthy babies who have both had treatment since too.
